Joining forces to promote tobacco cessation resources and smoke-free environments
Introduction
The public health community joined forces to celebrate the hallmark 10 year passing of City of Houston No Smoking Ordinance 2006-1054. This comprehensive revision of the City of Houston Smoking Ordinance prohibits smoking in enclosed public spaces, enclosed workplaces, building entrances and selected outdoor areas and public facilities. The ordinance is momentous for our city as it uses policy to create safe and healthy environments for Houstonians.
