Q. I’ve never been to a Cigna Sunday Streets event. What should I expect?
A: The Cigna Sunday Streets experience includes an opportunity to be healthy, meet your neighbors and discover new businesses. Check out this video to get a taste for the event. Then come out and join us!
Q: Can businesses and organizations located along the routes provide entertainment (i.e. live music, art shows,) or programs (i.e. yoga classes, CPR classes)?
A: Yes, businesses and organizations can provide entertainment and programs within or on their private property. Routine permits are required for outdoor activities.
Q: Will the COH set up stages for music or programs?
A: No, the COH is opening the streets to provide a place for people to be physically active. We encourage participants to enjoy the entertainment or services provided by businesses and organizations along the routes.
Q: Can bars and restaurants participate?
A: Yes, all businesses can participate and are encouraged to open during the event.
Q: Can bars and restaurants extend their patios or create patios if they do not currently exist?
A: Yes, bars and restaurants can create temporary outdoor space and seating on their private property or parking lots. Please refer to TABC guidelines.
Q: Is Cigna Sunday Streets a street festival?
A: No, Cigna Sunday Streets is not a street festival. Cigna Sunday Streets is a family friendly opportunity to be physically active.
Q: What do I need to bring with me to enjoy Cigna Sunday Streets?
A: Dress for the weather. Don’t forget to bring your Sunscreen, Lots of Water, and wear Hats. Cigna Sunday Streets Houston is a rain or shine event.
