Stay safe and get tested Houston!

There is a variety of free testing available in Houston and does not require proof of residency, citizenship, or insurance. It is important to get tested for your own peace of mind and to protect the people around you.  


Some key times to get tested include:  

  • If you are showing symptoms 
  • When you’ve been in a crowd 
  • If you recently traveled 
  • If you visited someone who is sick 


We can all do our part to stay healthy and slow the spread of COVID-19! 

Testing in your neighborhood

There are various sites all across Houston provided by Houston Health Department that are FREE and do not require proof of residency, citizenship, or insurance.  The types of COVID-19 tests are: Nasal swab, Oral swab, Antibodies test. Each agency may have it's own process for providing test results.  Appointments are not needed for Houston Health Department multi-service center testing sites.

Get Free at-home COVID-19 Tests 

Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order four free at-⁠home COVID-⁠19 tests. Orders will usually ship in 7-12 days. Order your tests now so you have them when you need them: www.covidtests.gov


COVID-19 In-Home Health Testing

The Harris County Area Agency on Aging offers COVID-19 in-home testing. To qualify, you must reside in Harris County and meet other criteria.
