Welcome

The Get Moving Houston Farmers Market mission is to provide easier access to affordable and high quality fresh fruits and vegetables throughout Houston and especially in food deserts—areas under served by grocery stores and other fresh food outlets.

Come Grow with us

Our Vision:

The vision is to significantly alleviate food insecurity and lower rates of obesity and chronic diseases related to malnutrition while strengthening communities and local economies.

Food security is the condition where all people at all times have physical and economic access to safe and nutritious foods in sufficient amounts to meet their dietary needs for an active and healthy life. The Get Moving Houston Farmers Markets offer a variety of food incentives and vouchers to increase the purchasing power of participants while supplies last.

Fruits and vegetables help prevent or delay the start of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease; fruits and vegetables can also help people maintain a healthy weight and just feel better! We hope you enjoy exploring our seasonal farmers' markets!
